In its 2024 edition, now titled ICONIC AWARDS 2024: Interior Products, the focus has shifted to spotlighting top-quality interior products, departing from the previous emphasis on innovative interiors.

Since 1953, the German Design Council Foundation has been dedicated to communicating and facilitating the excellence and knowledge in design, branding, and innovation. Through events, committees, and awards, it connects designers and promotes their work both locally and internationally. The 2024 awards continues this tradition by highlighting outstanding product designs and sustainable concepts in the realm of interior furnishings.

The ICONIC AWARDS 2024 features nine main categories for project submissions: bath and wellness; building fixtures; furniture; kitchen and household; lighting; materials, textiles, surfaces; office and workplace; outdoor products; and wall, floor, ceiling. A panel of internationally renowned experts in the interior design industry makes up the 2024 jury, including Ester Bruzkus, Ester Bruzkus Architects; Judith Haase, Gonzaleshasse; Tobias Lutz, Founder Architonic, Chief Strategy & Brand (DAAily Platforms), Zurich; and Antonio Rodriguez, Partner, Matteo Thun & Partners. This group of creative experts will evaluate submissions after the 2 February, 2024 deadline.

The announcement of award-winning projects will take place in a special ceremony on 16 April, 2024, initiating a dedicated exhibition to the laureates and their creations during Milan Design Week. The display will be situated in the bustling Brera District during the week of Salone del Mobile. This strategic location allows designers to be admist the showrooms of major furniture manufacturers in the area, providing unique visibility on one of the most important international design stages of the year.

Awards include the ‘Best of Best’, ‘Winner’, and ‘Selection’ awards as well as the distinct ‘Brand of the Year’ and ‘Creator of the Year’ awards, celebrating the achievements of one company and creator over the previous year.
